The work that I have submitted is from my A-Level Art and Design Course for which I have been very passionate about over the past two years. There is content from both my AS and A2 course, and I feel that the selected images showcase my ability well.
I feel I am a creative individual and I really enjoy thinking of ideas and putting them into practice. I would really like to take these interests further and to develop and enhance my understanding of the processes and skills involved in generating ideas for graphics, in order to improve the impact of the final result. I love the feeling of completing a piece of work, especially when you are pleased with what you have done; it is this feeling that inspires me to continue with my work.
As well as being a student, I also work as a waitress, like to keep fit and keep an active social life. I manage my time well and feel that I am an organised individual. I am a firm believer in the saying, “If you are going to do something, do it properly” and so I put my all into everything I do.
I am keen to undertake a course that will exploit my creativity, which is one reason I chose to study Graphic Design; the other being my interest in Graphics from a young age. This interest sparked a keen interest in Art which I have followed throughout my compulsory and higher education. I also study Media and English and these courses also allow me to be creative in a different way to the Art courses. I am especially looking forward to studying Graphic Design as I am really interested in the creative outlet it would produce.
